Development Award Program,
Wednesday, November 4, 1970 at
8:00 p.m. The program was held
at the Perquimans County Union
School, Winfall, North Carolina.
The other winners In the contest
were Bethel, second place, and
Beech Spring, third. W. C.
Strowd, Agricultural Extension
Ageni, awarded prize money to
these communities as donor of
the Peoples Bank and ' Trust
Company. The other community
enrolled in the, Rural Community
Development Project was
Chapanoke-Pools Grove.
. The 1970 vegetable garden
winners were as follow: first
place Mr. and Mrs. Odell Hur
dle; second place Mr. and Mrs.
