Winslow, as the 1971 N. C. State International Relations Chairman for the Extension Clubs, Is attending the 34th Annual Conference of the National Extension Homemakers Council at the Dunes Hotel, Las Vegas, Nevada, Nov. 30-Dec. 4. The couple, who were married November 20, 1920 In Washington County, have Carmen Sutton Jets Off To Denver Carmen Ann Sutton, daugnter lot Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Sutton of Hertford, is on her way today to attend the National Junior Horticultural Convention to be held in Denver Colorado, December 6-11. Carmen is the NJHA National Secretary, her responsibilities at the convention being centered mainly around publishing the daily newspaper 'The Hort-O-Scope.' Throughout the past year, Carmen has worked along with the other National Officers finalizing the plans for the convention. Carmen has Jus; returned recently from Miami Beach where she attended the American Horticultural Society Convention. This is an annual convention held every year for the society. Much of her week there was spent attending synposiums and workshops.. On Wednesday morning, Carmen was one of thrr. young people who represented the youth of America and she spoke to the convention about her ac complishments and aspirations as a member of the National Junior Horticultural Association. As a recipient of the Achievement and Leadership Award she was awarded this all- expense paid trip.
