Morgan took place Sunday, June
13, at Parkers Methodist Church
in Corapeake at 3 p.m. The Rev.
Robert Randalls, pastor, of
ficiated at the ceremony.
Wedding music was presented
by Mrs. Thomas B. Barnes,
organist, Selections played were
Theme from Love Story, Theme
from Romeo and Juliet, and A
Time For Us.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Curtis V! Powell of
Corapeake, N.C. The
bridegroom's parents are Mr.
and Mrs. Thomas Shelton
Morgan of Winfall, N.C.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore a wedding
dress of white lace over satin
featuring long puffed sleeves
with seed pearl trim on the
bodice. Her only ornament was
an heirloom locket belonging to
the bride's grandmother. Her
Mantilla veil of illusion was
trimmed with lace appliques.
She carried a nosegay of white

The grandmother of the bride
wore a dress of pink linen with
matching lace trim and a cor
sage of lavendar carnations.
Immediately following the
ceremony, a reception was held
" the Fellowship Hall of the
..arch.
The Bride's table was laid
with a five tiered wedding cake
and was decorated with pink
roses and babys breath and pink
candles in silver, candelabrum.
Mrs: Ferrell Powell of Franklin,
Va. presided at the guest
register. Mrs. Charles Brooks,
Aunt of the bride and Mrs. Sam
Morgan cut the cake. Punch was
served bv Mrs. Eueene Russell
and Mrs. James Boyette, Aunts
of the Bride. Others assisting
were Mrs. Alton Jones and Mrs.
Irving Perry.
The couple left for a trip to the
Virginia Mountains. They will
reside in Portsmouth, Va.
