She is a graduate: of East Carolina University with a B. S. degree In Elementary Education. She is presently employed as a speech and hearing therapist in the Wake County School System. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Newby Winslow of Hertford. He received his B.F.A. degree in Commercial Design from East Carolina University and is employed by McKinney and Silver Advertising and Marketing Firm in Raleigh. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of candlelight silk organu and peau d' ange lace over angel taffeta. It was designed with an empire bodice accented with clusters of seed pearls, high neck, and featured long puffed sleeves fastened at the cuffs with dainty bridal buttons. She wore a cathedral length man tilla which was edged and ap- pliqued with matching lace. Pink streamers fell from a bouquet of Junior Bridesmaid roses, minature white car nations, and stephanotis surrounding a white orchid. Miss Sandra Jean Rose, sister of the bride, served ss maid of honor. She wore a formal gown of aqua nylon organza, designed with an empire bodice accented with white val lace and lantern sleeves. Her headpiece was a white wide-brim straw hat with aqua streamers.. She carried a basket of mixed , summer flowers. The bridesmaids were Miss Patty Ervin. Miss Susan Nance, bom ofVirglnia Beach.
