m
This is the time of year the
"string savers" come into their
own. If you carefully unwrapped
Christmas gifts last year, then
folded papers and rolled up
ribbons, now's the time to look
over your savings. You can make
ribbons look and feel like new,
even tie like new, with spray
sizing. Magic sizing, sprayed
on as you press, turns last year's
limp loot into "like new" trim
mings for this year's gifts.
JUST A REMINDER
These are just a few of our specials during the pre
Christmas Sale. Shop early, compare our prices.

to my Puppy
Santa Claus. in the form of
little boysand girls, makes Christ
mas gifts for the kittens and pup
pies of his acquaintance. All the
little Santas need are brown
boxes (free from the neighbor
hood grocer), a set of El Marko
permanent ink markers from
Paper Mate that come in eight
bright colors, plain brown wrap:
ping paper and rubber cement.
The little gift maker cuts down
the carton to fashion a snuggly
bed for his little pet. He covers
the printing on the carton by
pasting plain brown wrapping
paper all around. Now he's ready
to create. With easy-to-hold El
Marko. he can print his pet's
name. "Marko's Bed" could be
written right on the front. He
might even draw his friend or
color a Christmas tree, a star or
a bell. Even holly can be pic
tured in holiday colors. The
markers will write clearly with
out squeaking or skipping.
Old blankets or pillows will be
fitting "furniture" for the little
pet's new, colorful, Christmas
home. And little Santa did it
himself! '.s

Regardless of old Hollywood
horror films, a tarantula bits is
hardly worse than a bee or
wasp sting, unless the victim
has a particular allergy, Na

ants, bees, and wasps are far
more dangerous.
