A financial fable from Peoples Bank.
Once there were three feathered friends
who lived together in a hollow tree. Peter,
Paul and Charley were their names. Now
Peter and Paul, who were the owls, were
hard working, industrious and thrifty. On
the other hand, Charley, a crow, was ir
responsible and always broke. To get money
to pay his bills, Charley would one time
borrow money from Paul and then to pay
Paul back, he'd steal from Peter. The next
time he'd borrow money from Peter and

became wise to Charley. And when they dis
covered what was going on, Peter grabbed

threw him out of the tree.
The moral of our story is: You can't
always be robbing Peter to pay Paul and
vice versa or one of these days you're going
to get caught in the middle. And if you're

A child's prayer? Yes, but
Isn't that the true prayer that
all people should pray? "Help
me to care..." Here we find no
selfishness just a petition for
guidance in service.
