The bride-elect is the daughter of William Franklin Tarkenton, Sr. and the late Ruth Hassell Tarkenton. She is a graduate of Perquimans County Mrs. Newbold Is Hostess To Bridge Club Mrs. J. H. Newbold was hostess to her bridge club Thursday afternoon at her home on Front Street. Those playing were Mrs. H. A. Whitley, Mrs. T. W. Wilson, Mrs. S. M. Whedbee, Mrs. S. P. Jessup, Mrs. C. A.
