Mrs. John Elmer Wood Sr.
was hostess, in April to the
Snow Hill-White Hat Extension
Homemakers Club.
Mrs. J.D. Yeate presided.
Mrs. Ralph Harrell gave the
devotional. Mrs. R.W. Turner
led in prayer.
An interesting demonstration
on "Sewing Today's Fabrics"
was given by Mrs. Albert Eure.
She showed a film and made
remarks on the selection and
preparation of fabric, patterns
with simple detail and thread
and needle selection.
The roll was called by Mrs.
Delwin H. Eure and Nineteen
members were present, The
club welcomed one new
member, Mrs. Jay Parker.
Mrs. R.W. Turner, citizenship
chairman urged everyone to
register to vote and be sure to
vote. She also asked the club
women to pray for the leaders of
our nation.
The Northeastern District
Extension Homemakers met in
Sunbury on April 18. Mrs. Whit
Cartwright, Mrs. James God
frey, Mrs. T. Noblitt, Mrs.
Delwin Eure and Mrs. J.D.
Yeates attended.
The hostess served delicious
refreshments.
