The Perquimans Weekly, Hertford, N.C., Thursday, January 18, 1973-f aff S Irons-Harrell Wedding The marriage of Miss Mary Susan Harrell and Cary Frederick Irons III was solemnized recently in the First United Methodist Church. The Rev. F. Belton Joyner Jr. and the Rev. Milton T. Mann per formed the double ring ceremony In a candlelight setting of white snapdragons, red roses and palms. Wedding music was presented by Miss Caroline Wright, organist and George M. Seymour, soloist. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Manning Harrell Jr. of Hertford. The bridegroom's parents are Dr. and Mrs. Irons of Greenville. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a can dlelight gown of tissue faille. The high neck and empire waist featured a stenciled lace yoke and leg-of-mutton sleeves and a wide ruffled lace border on the attached train. Her chapel igth veil of illusion flowed )m a cloche of stenciled lace Id hand crocheted Belgium ice. Mie carried a cascade r'ouquet of red American eauty roses. Honor attendants were Miss Cathy Simmons of Hickory and Miss Pamela Walton of Raleigh. Bridesmaids were Miss Rose Auman of Jacksonville, Mrs. Maurice L. Bunch of Newport News, Va., Mrs. John Dowd of Greenville, Mrs. Thomas G. Irons of Daly City, Cal., Mrs. Ben Irons of Chapel Hill and Mrs. C.J. Stallings of Belvidere. The honor attendants and bridesmaids wore gowns with candlelight crepe blouses ruffled at the high neck and sleeves and Old Glory red velvet skirts bordered with a deep gathered ruffle and matching cummerbunds. They wore sprigs of holly in their hair and carried bouquets of holly and ivy. Amy Chappell was flower girl. Dr. Irons was best man for his son. Ushers were Al Gurganus of Greenville, Charlie Harrell J and Chris Harrell, both of rtford, Dr. Thomas G. Irons of Daly City, Ben Irons of Chapel Hill, The Rev. Thomas Loftis of Fayetteville and John Weldon of Jacksonville, Fla. i Mrs. George Fields, Mrs. jjbert Taylor and Mrs. Julian hite were mistresses of ceremony. For her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Harrell chose a coat and dress ensemble in pale pink with beaded trim, matching accessories and corsage of pink roses.: Mrs. Iron wore an aqua dress with long sleeves accented by a gold belt, harmonizing ac cessories and corsage of pink roses.'; : Mrs. Roy S. Chappell, grandmother of the bride, wore a royal blue dress with har monizing accessories and corsage of red carnations. A reception was held in the' church fellowship hall following the ceremony. The bride is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro where she was a member of the Golden (.hain, Reynolds scholar and elected to Phi Beta Kappa. Mr. Iron is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he was a member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity, Morehead scholar and elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He will enter medical school in the fall. A bridal shower was given by Miss Cathy Simmons at Reynolds Dormitory at UNC-G. Mrs. John Dowd entertained at a coke party in Edenton. Mr. and Mrs. W.C.
