Owen Chappell-Peters Vows Spoken Miss Lois Anne Chappell became the bride of Owen Massey Peters recently in Pentecostal Holiness Church on Elizabeth Street in Elizabeth City. The Rev. Irving R. Baccus performed the double ring ceremony in a candlelight setting of white snowflake mums, gladioli, pom pons, pink snapdragons and palms. Wedding music was presented by Danny Meads, organist and Mrs. Charlie Hobbs Jr., soloist. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence S. Chappell of Hertford. The bridegroom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. John Edwin Peters of Arab, Ala. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a full length empire A line gown in white bridal satin and peau d'ange lace. Scalloped peau d'ange lace appliques fashioned the high neck, pearled bodice and full bishop sleeves. A deep band of the same lace circled the hemline. Her matching lace and pearl trimmed bonnet featured a chapel length veil of illusion edged in lace and she carried a cascade bouquet of pink roses, pom pons and stephanotis cen tered with a royal bouquet orchid on a Bible. Mrs. Grant Chappell of Cary was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Suzette Chappell, sister of the bride, Miss Brenda Baccus, Miss Darlene Meads, Hertford; and Miss Faye Riddick, Belvidere. They wore floor length gowns in the blue and rose pink polyester crepe fashioned with high necklines and long full sleeves with wide cuffs trimmed with white lace and covered buttons accented at the waists with velvet rib-; bon. Their matching headpieces were of ribbon, pom pons and streamers and they carried nosegays of pink roses, pom pons and baby's breath. 1 , Mr. Peters was best man for his son. Ushers were Dr. Harry M. Rutland Jr., Guntersville, Ala., William E. Peters Birmingham, Ala. and Edwin Peters of Arab, brothers of the bridegroom, and Harrell E. Pratt of Elizabeth City. Miss Christy Chappell was flower girl and Eddie Harwell, ring bearer. Mrs. George Riddick and Mrs. Clarence B. Chappell were mistresses of ceremony. For her daughter's wed ding, Mrs. Chappell chose a floor length gown of mystic blue polyester with silk organza sleeves and bodice appliqued in lace. She wore matching accessories and corsage of pink rose. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a full length formal gown of white satin organza trimmed in re embroidered alencon and Venice lace over bridal taffeta. The bodice featuring an empire waist was fashioned with a high ruffled neckline, pleated yoke and lantern tucked sleeves. The A-line skirt was ornamented with clusters of lace and pearls and featured a lace hemline and detachable lace edged chapel length train. Her matching elbow length veil of bouffant imported silk illusion. She carried a cascade of white daisy pom pons centered with a lift out of yellow sweetheart roses. Mrs. Tim White of Tyner was Matron of honor. Miss Vickie Godfrey of Hertford, sister of the brjdegroom, Miss Joan Hare 'of Tyner, Miss Yvonne Small of Edenton and Mrs. Quinton Goodwin of Suffolk, Va. were bridesmaids. The honor attendant and bridesmaids wore full length gowns of white venise lace accented with bands of in terlaced green and white floral designs over taffeta.
