GAY Mrs. Maggie Icard Gay, 68, of Rt. 2 Elizabeth City died in Albemarle Hospital at 1:25 a.m. : Tuesday morning. A native of Burke County, N.C. she was the widow of the late Lorinzo Gay and the daughter of the late William David and Ada Zimmerman Icard. A retired employee of Don Juan Manufacturing Co. and member of Bunningers Chapel United Methodist Church in Valdese, N.C. and attended Woodville Baptist Church. Surviving are one stepson, William Gay, Rt. 2 Elizabeth City, one daughter, Mrs. Virginia Vick, Rt. 4 Sanford, N.C; one Brother, Odell Icard, Morganton, N.C; three sisters, Mrs. Roy King, Valdese, N.C; Mrs. J. B. Vick, Sr. Elizabeth City; Mrs. Mon Teague, Connely Springs, N.C. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 :00 from the Chapel of Swindell Funeral Home by the Revs. John A. Owens of St. Paul ' Freewill Baptist and Rev. W. A. Hales of Woodville Baptist Church. The body will be taken to Miller i Funeral Home in Sanford, N.C. for a service Saturday Burial will be in Lee Memorial Gardens in Sanford, N.C. PLYMOUTH GUESTS Mr. and Mrs. Doward Jones and family of Plymouth were guests of Mrs. Addie Keegan on Sunday. MRS. LUCIE WHITE Mrs. Lucie Peterson White, 82, of 200 S. Church St., died suddenly Tuesday at 12:15 in her home. A native of Perquimans County, she was the daughter of the late Ben jamin Franklin and Mrs. Irene Creecy Peterson and the widow of Joseph Ellie White. She was a member of the Hertford Baptist Church where she served as organist for 47 years prior to her retirement. She owned and operated the Albemarle Tourist Home. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Ellen White Vickers of Hertford; a grandson, a grandaughter and three great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday (today) at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of the Swindell Funeral Home by the Rev. Norman Harris. Burial will be in Cedar wood Cemetery.
