Taylor, was one of the honor guests who accompanied and recognized at the guest table with Mrs. Holshouser, Jr. She was introduced by Dr. Frances Dawson, -v The conference closed on Friday with a General Session and a Leadership Recognition Luncheon. During the General Session, Dr. Charles M, Barrett, Associate Vice-President for Educational Programs, N.C. Department of Com munity Colleges, Raleigh, presided. . Dr. Barrett presented the guest speaker Dr. James A. Christenson, Professor of Sociology and Authropology North Carolina State University. Dr. Christenson spoke , on "What North Carolinans Want" During the Leadership Recognition Luncheon, Dr. Ron Shearon, Program Chairman, presided. Dr.' Susan G. Kelly presented Dr. Edgar J. : Boone, Professor and Head, Department of Adult and Community College Education at North Carolina State University. Dr. Boone spoke on "On Being Professional". During the service special awards were made and new officers were installed. The purpose of North Carolina Adult Education is to provide a professional organization for adult educators in North Carolina. This past June 15th ,; he and the former Elizabeth Matthews, also of Washington, were married. Their home is in Washington Park, Washington, North Carolina.
