Elliott, son of Mrs. William H. Elliott of Rt. 2, Hertford, has assumed command of the 2146th Communications Group at Osan Air Base in the Republic of Korea. He also serves as director of communications, Air Force Korea and the 314th Air Division. The colonel, who previously served as - deputy commander of. the 2146th, is a member of the Air Force Communications Service. Elliott is a 1950 graduate of Perquimans County High School and he received his B.S. degree in science in 1954 from East Carolina University where he was commissioned through the Air Force Reserve Officers Training Corps program. He earned his B.A. degree in mathematics in 1959 from the University of Oklahoma and is a member of Chi Beta Phi. The colonel's wife, Delia, is the daughter of Mrs. Ruth Ringdahl of Minot, N.D. (ADP) carrer in 1970 in the former U.S. Continental Army Command (USCONARC) Intern Program and later served with the USACSC Support Group Ft. Eustis, Va. Prior to his assignment here, he was a computer systems anlyst with the Management Information Systems Office (MISO), Ft. Belvoir. He was graduated with a bachelor of science degree in business administration in 1970 from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. CALENDAR ' SALE Patsy Miller, secretary of the Perquimans County Jaycettes, displays one of the styles of the linen calendar towels that the group is selling. The calendars are $1.50 each and may be obtained from any member of the Jaycettes. Mrs. Miller pointed out that they make great Christmas gifts. The musical play is being produced jointly by the fine arts groups of College of the Albemarle as a special feature for their 10th an niversary season. Directors are Mrs. Lucy Vaughan and Dr. Clifford Bair. Instrumentalists from neighboring East Carolina and Elizabeth City State universities and COA along with guest soloists from the Norfolk Civic Ballet will provide the accompaniment and a festive dance feature. Northeastern High School Band members will perform special persussion effects. Cast members include: Amahl-Signe Albertson, Jonathan Stoll, Eldon Turner, alternates; Amahl's Widowed Mother-Julia Pritchard; King Kaspar Gerald Corcoran, Richard Zins, alternates; King Melchior-Gene Sawyer; King Balthazar-Heywood Houtz, Antone Wesley (ECSU Music Dept.), alternates; Solo Dancers Sam Groover, Joseph Maniscalio, Pattie Sawyer (Norfolk Civic Ballet). Production Staff -General Staging and Music Director Dr. Bair; Technical Director and Home Manager-Mrs. Vaughan; Chorus Master-Betty Miller; Stage Manager-June Watkins; Orchestra-East Carolina Symphonette, Dr. Paul Topper, leader; Solo Flautist-Professor Charles Penrose, ECSU; Special Effects-Paul Susan Haskett, NHS Band; Solo Pianist Patsy Houtz; Rehearsal Accompanists-Dana Cham bers and Anna Bair. Performances are scheduled for Dec. 8 at 3:30 p.m. and Dec. 9 at 8 p.m. in COA's gymnatorium. HEAVE HO Members of the Perquimans County. Marching Unite spent their day out of school last Friday picking up old newspapers throughout the county. The unit is still continuing their paper drive to raise funds for the unit. Residents of the county are asked to save their old newspapers and magazines to be donated to the marching unit.
