WATER BONDS OF THE
COUNTY OF PERQUIMANS".
WHEREAS, the Board of
Commissioners of the County of
Perquimans deems it advisable
to make the improvements
hereinafter described; and
WHEREAS, the Board of
Commissioners has caused to
be filed with the Secretary of
the Local Government
Commission of North Carolina
an application for Commission
approval of the bonds
hereinafter
required by the Local
Government Finance Act, and
the Secretary of the Local
Government Commission has
notified the Board that the
application has been filed and
accepted for submission to the
Local Government
Commission; NOW,
THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDERED by the
Board of Commissioners of the
.County of Perquimans as
follows:
Section 1, The Board of
Commissioners of the County of
Perquimans has ascertained
and hereby determines that It is
necessary to acquire and
construct a system for the
supply, storage, treatment and
distribution of water, including
the construction of water wells,
water supply lines, storage
tanks and a treatment plant and
the acquisition of existing
facilities serving the Woodville
section of the County of
Perquimans and a small
portion of the adjoining County
of Pasquotank, and the
acquisition and installation of
the eqipment and machinery
required therefor and the
acquisition of the necessary
land or rights-In land, and to
pay the capital costs of such

annually levied and collected.
The revenues of the system
hereinbefore described may be
pledged to the payment of the
interest on and principal of said
bonds if and to the extent that
the Board of Commissioners
shall hereafter determine by
resolution prior to the issuance
of said bonds. In such event, the
tax to pay the principal of and
interest on said bonds may be
reduced by the amount of such
revenues available for the
payment of such principal and
interest.
Section 5. This bond order
shall take effect when approved
by the voters of the County of V
Perquimans at a referendum.

statement of debt has been filed
under the Local Government ;
Bond Act showing the appraised '
value of the County of
Perquimans to be $64,877,787
and the net debt thereof,'
including the proposed bonds, to
be $106,000. A tax will be levied

interest on the bonds if they are -issued.
Anyone who wishes to be
heard on the questions of the
validity of the bond order and
the advisability of Issuing the
bonds may appear at a public
hearing or an adjournment
