These 26 million living Americans have written .chapters of history underscored with valor in . thousands of obscure places around the world places such as Chateau Thierry, Belleau Wood, Omaha Beach, Guadalcanal, In chon, Port Chop Hill, the ' Mekong Delta, and the Au ; Shau Valley. In the finest tradition as set forth by our founding ; fathers, these gallant Americans have served with ; honor to uphold the cause of freedom and individual - dignity. They have : witnessed the wanton waste - of war; they have known the : savage terror of battle; they ; have felt the frustration of - loneliness and boredom . wrought by separation in . both time and distance from loved ones. Through their sacrifices, ' our veterans have forged a .lofty tradition of service by the citizen-soldier in behalf . of the national purpose. Through their performance of duty, America's veterans ; have fulfilled the greatest obligation of their citizen ship. Their courage, their devo tion, and their sacrifice have earned our sincere respect, our highest admira- tion,' and our heartfelt gratitude. But service to their coun try and mankind did not end with the exchange of military garb for civilian clothing. An drews, Neal and Preyer voting for "The Atlantic Union" on April 1, 1976 (Roll No. 157). At the same time, non-signer Cong. Henderson did not vote (did not defend) against the "Union." Since both the "Declaration" and the "Union" spell out exactly the opposite cf their oath (To defend our Constitution), they should all be ousted from office and should be brought before a criminal court for trial. Freedom is not free...we either use it or we will most cer tainly lose it. We, the People, are obligated to support our duly elected officials only to the exact degree that they properly serve, all in accordance with their oath, our Bill of Rights, and our Constitution. On the other hand, we are obligated to oppose any and all failures, on their part, to so serve. You do as you will but I shall not rest until all such violators are facing the bar of justice. Vocal selections dating from ' 1919 to 1941, including a variety of both serious and comic songs will be rendered. George Chadwick's, "O Let Nigh Speak of Me," con-, sidered by members of the American Academy of Teachers of Singing to be the first great American art song, will be included in the program.
