Simpson of Hertford celebrated their 25th wedding anniver
sary on March 10. A reception in their honor was given by
the family March 14 at Simp's Bar-B-Q in Roper. Approxi
mately 80 persons attended.

Church has called as its
Pastor, the Reverend
' Charles P Bullard, who Is
now serving as Pastor of the
Columbus Baptist Church in
Columbus, N.C.
Rev. Bullard is a native of
Cary, N.C. and graduated in
1954 from Cary High School,
received his B.A. Degree
from Wake Forest Univer
sity in 1958, and his B.D.
Degree from Southeastern
Baptist Theological
Seminary in 1962.
He has served, as
Associate Pastor of the First
Baptist church in Hagers
town, Md., Pastor of the
Paramount Baptist Church
in Hagerstown and has
served as the Pastor of the
Columbus' Baptist Church
since 1971.
He has also served as
Maryland's Representative
to the Board of Trustees of
the Southeastern Baptist
Theological Seminary, as
member of the General
Board of the Baptist State
Convention, past member of
the Baptist Children's Home
Committee of the General
Board, presently a member
of the Fruitland Bible In
stitute Committee and the
Youth and Campus Life
Committee of the General
Board, a member of the
Committee to establish the
Thermal Belt Youth Shelter,
an Emergency Care Center
for children in Crisis.
He has received special
recognition for community
service by Optismist Club of
Hagerstown, Md. and for
"Meritorious Service to 4-H
in Polk County."
He is married to the
former Grace Underwood of
Wingate, N.C. and they have
three children, Michael, age
14; Robin age 13; and
Melissa Dawn, age 11.
Rev. Bullard will be filling
the pulpit of the Hertford
Baptist Church on Sunday,
June 19 at the 11 a.m. Wor
ship Service.
