The Reynolds Scholarship
winners were announced
recently by the UNC-G Com
petitive Scholarships Com-
recipients from the 94
finalists in the rnmoetition.
Overall, there were approxi
mately 325 applicants from
throughout North Carolina
for the awards. '

She is treasurer of the
Health Careers Club, a
member of the Student
Council and business
manager of the annual. She
is secretary of the Friends

The amount of a Reynolds
Scholarship ranges between
500 and the total amount of
money needed by an in
dividual student. In some in
stances, this can go as high
as ' $2,200 per year. The
scholarships are renewable
for three additional years of
undergraduate study
beyond the freshman year.
Thus, over four years the
range of a Reynolds
Scholarship would be bet
ween $2,000 and $8,800.

the Z. Smith Reynolds Foun
dation of Winston-Salem in
memory of Mrs. Katharine
Smith Reynolds, A Woman's '
College (now UNC-G) alum
na, wife of the founder of
Reynolds Tobacco Co., and
