James S. Hidgette, PCHS Guidance Counselor, said, "Any new situation creates a feeling of insecurity. This is true whether it involves an adult changing employ ment or a person entering the armed services, or a child changing schools." V Because of this, Hidgette pointed out . that schools have found it necessary to provide many different forms of orientation to new situations experienced by pupils. These experiences include starting school at the kindergarten, level, changing from elementary school to Junior high, and from junior high to senior high, and finally changing from high school to college or other post high school educational acitvity and preparing for employment. He said, "In all these situa tions, there are rules of the road to learn and there is a need to become acquainted with the new environment in order to bridge the gap bet ween the old and the new." n - die 1 mmu (Buns MQULAR Of) MMT Crest TOOTHPASTE MON. thru THURS. . ........ 9-6 STORE FRI. ., .......9-9 HOURS SAT 9-9 CLOSED SUNDAY oz REGULAR BLUE lf C HAIR V'fl" If DRESSING U LIMIT 2 sm iffimfemiffimoifi , --1WWWW . . film MHiinils ttfflKi LOOK UP TO CAESAR - Carlyle Horner appears to be describing the size of the, "one that got away" during rehearsal for "Androcles and the Lion" which will be presented by College of the Albemarle Satyrs at the gymnasium in Elizabeth City on May 13, 14, and 15.
