One day a farmer came and bought me and carried me home. He then left me in his barn. I was almost 'decided that I would forever lay there when one bright sunny day the fawner car ried me and put me in a little box concern drawn by two horses from which I was dropped in the soft moist earth. The farmer's little boy ploughed me with one of the horses I was planted with. Then I was worked by his lit tle girl with the hoe. My long roots drank the water from the soil and the sunshine. I grew and was soon a large plant, with long limbs. One day a little bud came on me and the next day a flower. I decided then every one would admire me, but I soon fell off and died; then it left a big hard ball which soon opened and there were five white locks. I decided it was all over. Then I was taken to the ginhouse and carried through great wheels. After I was ginned and the seed taken out I was then taken to the great manufacturing mill. There I was woven into a bolt of goods. I was carried and dyed a beautiful color. Then I was taken and put on a shelf of a large dry-goods store in the city. Shirley was'' a good little girl and took good care of me. I was often washed and starched so as to make me look new and cleanAfter a long time I was worn out and thrown away. I knew I was of no more good in this world. One day I was sold to another man and carried to a new mill and ground up in to a kind of pulp; Then I was made into many white sheets and formed a tablet. Again I was carried and put on the shelves and Shirley came and bought me. (7 behalf of the association is member Daisy Lane.
