Perquimans County Citizens Vote "NO" On The Nov. 8 SCHOOL BOND REFERENDUM We believe that plans for enlargement of the present high school buildings complex are much too ambitious and, in fact, are not needed for the proper education of Perquimans County school children. Our county has available more than $1 ,000,000 which can be used for some new construction and for repairs to school buildings. We think that $1 ,000,000 is a lot of money and, if wisely used, a great deal can be done with it. School officials should continue their search for funds from other sources; (COA was successful in their search) they should scale down their plans to fit the $1 ,000,000 that is available and not ask county tax payers to shoulder a $3,000,000 debt for the next 20 years. WE URGE YOU THEN, ON NOV. Ml VOTE "NO" ON THE SCHOOL BOND REFERENDUM CHECK DATES Check the dates on perishable foods before purchasing. Be sure all of the food can be used before it spoils. WATER SAVER A tight-fitting lid on a pan saves water from boiling away and also cooks food faster, thereby using less energy. The Perquimans Weekly Court House Square HERTFORD. You may have read about the man who died presumably after trying in vain to open his safety capped bottle of heart tablets. The Law was not at fault here, however, because it explicitly exempts both nitro glycerine tablets this man was trying to get to, . and isosorbide dinitrate, a similar remedy. In addition, the Law plainly allows the use of non-safety containers whenever requested by either the patient or doc tor, just so proper judg ment is used.
