The young fellow was holding a "sparkler" when small par ticles of it flew into his right ATTENDANCE AWARD - Recognized at the 4-H Achievement Program was the Hertford Busy Bees 4-H Club, winners of the atten dance award. Presideht Nadine Johnson is shown above with the cup. The 4-H prizes and awards were sponsored by area eye. He was taken to a hospital in Suffolk, Va. for treatment, but little hope waa given for the sight of the eye.
