Caddy-Hackney ? . exchange vows Miss Joanne Dayton Hackney and John Quinton Caddy were married Saturday at 2:90 a.m. in the New Hop* United Methodist Church. Durants Neck, by the Rev. Thomas Hoogerland and the Rev. Claude Wilson. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James 'G.E. Morrison of Virginia Beach. Va. ' The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Caddy of Route 3, Hertford. Miss Jeanne Byrd Hackney of Gainesville, Fla., sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Mrs. Billie White Quigley of Newport News, Va. was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Cheryl Morrisqn Ainsley of Norfolk. Miss Kimberly Gayle Morrison of Virginia Beach, Miss Susan Jane Morrison of Virginia Beach, sisters of the bride. Miss Tina Michelle Caddy of Hert ford, Mrs. Patricia Hoggard Collis of Jacksonville, Fla., Miss Leslie Jean Morgan and Miss Catherine Holiday Rose, also of Virginia Beach. The father of the bridegroom was best man. Groomsmen were Marshall E. Caddy of Hertford, brother of the bridegroom, G. Ronald Baker of Hert ford, Thomas G. Byrd of Norfolk. Broughton T. Dail Jr. of Hertford, Claude Felmet of Raleigh, J. Thomas i Morrison of Virginia Beach, R. Brantley Murray of ' Kitty Hawk and Wayne K. Thompson of Asheville. A reception was held at the Holiday Inn, Elizabeth City. The bride is a 1974 graduate of Norfolk General Hospital School of Professional Nursing and will be employed at Albemarle Hospital in Elizabeth City. The bridegroom is a 1974 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is a farmer at Route 3, Hertford. After a wedding cruise to the Caribbean Island, the couple will live at Route 3, Hertford. Revival planned for Methodists Rev. Bruce Smith an nounces revival services for the Perquimans Charge of the United Methodist Church starting Sunday, April 2 and ending Friday. April 7. The Perquimans Charge includes the Cedar Grove, Oak Grove, and Epworth U n ited Methodist Churches. -On Sunday and Monday nights, services will be held at Oak Grove Church in Chapanoke. On Tuesday and Wednesday, the services will be at Epworth Church *iri Winfall. On Thursday and Friday, the services will be held at Cedar Grove Church, also in Winfall. Services begin at 7:30 p.m. each evening. Rev. David Eubanks, pastor of the Faison Charge of the United Methodist Church in Faison, N.C. will be guest evangelist. Special music will be pro vided by the host pastor and Miss Sharon and Darlene Ward. All of the congregations are invited to attend any or all of these services. The public is welcome. Maternity clinic will be held from 8:30-11:30 a.m. by appointment only on Monday, April 3. The family planning clinic will be held that afternoon star ting at 12:30 p.m. It is also by appointment only. Gospel feast set The Harvey Point Gospel Singers will sponsor a gospel feast Saturday night, March 25 at New Haven Baptist Church beginning at 7: 30 p.m . The public is cordially in vited. District court session is held Charges against Cleveland Alexander Sut ton were consolidated for trial by Judge Grafton Beaman at Wednesday's session of Perquimans County District Court. Charges were trespassing and damageing personal property. The defendant received a nine months sentence suspended for three years, a fine of $100 and cost, was told to be on good behavior, not to con sume any intoxicants, re main off the premises of Ruth Douglas and pay the Clerk of Superior Court $4 for use of Ruth Douglas, and not to molest Laura Sutton in any way; Michael Wayne Spivey was found guilty of issuing a worthless check and was given a fifteen day sentence suspended for one year, and was ordered to pay Colonial Stores (20 in restitution ; Oscar Elliott Jr. was charged with driving under the influence of intoxicating beverage. The defendant was given a 60 day sentence suspended for two years, a fine of (100 and cost, was told to surrender his driver's license to the Clerk of Superior Court, for 12 months, not to operate a motor vehicle in North Carolina, except as allowed by limited driving privilege. Earnest James Dail, charged with driving under the influence, was given a 60 day sentence suspended for two years, a fine of $100 was told to surrender his driver's license to the Clerk of Superior Court and was ordered not to operate a motor vehicle in North Carolina except as allowed by limited by driving privilege; James Oscar Wells, charged with possession on non-tax paid liquor, and transporting liquor (cases were consolidated for trial), the defendant received a 17 months sentence suspended for four years, a fine of |200 and cost, and was ordered not to have in actual or construc tive possession of any alcoholic beverage during the term of suspended sentence, unless possession is lawfun under G.S. of N.C. and U.S.A.; Raymond White Jr. was ordered to pay $175 monthly support for child plus car rying hospitalization for child. First payment to begin April S through Clerk of Superior Court; Kenneth Donald Ward, charged with driving under the influence, speeding, and improper parking (con solidated for trial) received a 60 day sentence suspended for two years, a fine of |125 and cost, was ordered to surrender his driver's license to Clerk of Superior Court, and was told not to operate a motor vehicle in Ndrth Carolina for 12 months except as allowed by limited driving privilege; Baily Delans Millard, charged with being a public drunk and assault, (con solidated for trial) was given a 50 day sentence suspended for two years a fine of $100 and cost, was told to remain on good behavior not to engage in any wilful misdonduct. Alcoholic beveragte to be destroyed; Charles Lowder was found guilty of trespassing and given a 20 day sentence suspended for three years, a fine of $25 and cost, was told to remain on good behavior, not to engage in wilful misconduct, and to remain off all school pro perty for a period of suspended sentence; Lula Alphonso Jones, charged with driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor, was given a 60 day sentence suspended for two years, a fine of $125 and cost, was ordered to sur render his driver's license to Clerk of Superior Court, and was told not to operate a motor vehicle in North Carolina for 12 months ex cept as allowed by limited driving privilege; Traffic violations were as follows: Johnny Lee Oates, improper passing $35 and cost; Noah Jones, speeding (35 and cost; and Mary Broughton, stop sign viola tion, cost. On the Civil Calendar a divorce was granted to Denise Michelle Malcolm Winslow vs Jarvis Dorsey Winslow Jr. The wife will resume her maiden name.
