The Perquimans girl's
Softball team' traveled to
Northampton on April 11
amidst a sandstorm with
high hopes of a victoiy. That
was not to be as the girls suf
fered one of their worst
losses of the season by a
score of 17-1 to the
Northampton team.
The Perquimans girls
made careless errors with
most of the runs were
unearned.
Previous to this, the Per
quimans girls had a 19 rim
average per game but hit
ting did not materialize for
this game. The only Lady
Pirate get a hit was Dee
Hurdle who went one for
one.
The girls again traveled

ing another loss, 12-2,
against the Knights. The

ment, have been released. Because teams
played different numbers of games, total
points were figured instead of averages.
Rodney Lassiter led the league in points
scored with 297. Joe Winslow held second
place with 285.
In free throw shooting, Harrell Thach
edged out Clarence Rogers, with of percen
tage of 76 compared to Rogers' 74.
