UGLY SCENE OF THE WEEK - Broken windows
on the outside are only a symptom of the disrepair
of this building in the middle of Hertford. It is the
old John Deere building next to the courthouse. The
building was purchased by the county last fall and
has been used for storage since then. There are also
leaks in the roof causing interior damage. One door
stands ajar on the north side of the building. It
seems to us to be poor economics to allow this
deterioration in county property.
