Letter* From Our Readers: Editor's Mailbag Inflation causing problems Inflation is creating many problems in housing, food, gas, fuel oil, medicine and clothing. I firmly believe that some of the major causes of inflation are poor planning and not moving forward in the right direction and failure to explain why both unemployment and inflation have been so serious in recent years. We must take immediate action to combat these problems. Those who are in authority should take a long look and go full speed ahead in this situation and rekindle their efforts to put an end to inflation. There is too much wasteful spending in our government which in turn creates major problems. The distribution of food stamps is currently grow ing by thousands and perhaps millions of persons receiving them per month which in turn has a serious impact on inflation. Finally, this most pressing problem is being felt in Americans' pocketbooks. , ? We need to work out a formula and find solutions to the problem before the problem can be solved. GEORGE W.
