We encourage Baptist women of all the age level organizations to come and join together in Bible study, prayer and fellowship. Special music will be led by Mrs. Linda Winslow, minister of music at Corinth Baptist Church in Elizabeth ' City. Guest speaker will be Anna Hope Christian, the former Anna Hope Blanchard of Hobbsville. Anna Hope is a graduate of Mars Hill and Car son-Newman College. She also attended the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, Kentucky. She has served as minister of youth and education in churches in Virginia and North Carolina. She is presently on the Evangelism staff of the Baptist State Convention, Raleigh. Hope is married to Louis Christian and they have two children, Wagner Don, an attorney, and Carol, a senior at U.N.C. Chapel Hill. A November tour to the land of Jesus and the Jews is being organized by Donald Wagner, pastor of the Rocky Hock Baptist Church. The tour begins in Cairo, Egypt, near the land of Goshen, where the Jews lived for about 400 years. Ward-Reynolds wed After a tide excursion Jb the Valley of the Kings and King Tut's Tome, the tour will follow some of the Hebrew wanderings in the Sinai Peninsula to Mount Sinai, where Moses received the Ten Com mandments. and then travel overland to Bethlehem, the place of Jesus' birth, and Jerusalem, where so many of His activities were per formed. There will be many places of in terest, such as: the Sea of Galilee, where Jesus walked on the water; Mount Hermon, the origin of the Jordan River; the Dead Sea; Nazareth, Jesus' home town; Masada, where the Jews held out against the Rorpans after the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 A.D.; and a sightseeing excursion to Amsterdam, Holland. This tour, beginning November 2 and ending November 15, is open for anyone who has ever wanted to go to the Bible Land and is intended to be spiritually enriching "retreat". Miss Mary Brinkley Ward and Mr. Michael Lee Reynolds were married August 7th at 2 p.m. in the home of the bride's parents by the Rev. Raymond Needham. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. Jarvis Ward of 211 N. Church St. The groom is the son of Mr. Jack L. Reynolds of Richmond, Va. and the late Elizabeth Louise Reynolds. The bride, given in marriage by her father wore a wedding ?own of white chiffon, fashioned with a high neckline, accented with panels of lace on the bodice and cape sleeves. She wore her mother's finger-tip veil of illusion arranged from a lace capulet outlined with seed pearls. Her only jewelry was an heirloom locket. Maid of honor was Ruthie Ward, sister of the bride, of Winston-Salem. Ann Ward of Hertford served as her sister's bridesmaid. Mr. Jack L. Reynolds served as best man for his son. Ushers were Jeff Sulic and Theo Phadisch. Mistress of Ceremonies was Mrs. Robin Perry Copeland. Mr. Harvey Reams and Mr. D.avid Mrs. Reynolds Copeland, guitarists, accompanied Donna Regis as she sang "Longer." Mr. David Copeland played and sang "The Wedding Song." A reception was held at the home of the bride's parents. After a wedding trip to Nags Head, N.C., the couple will make their home in Blacksburg, Va. Mrs. Crocker sang "Always and Forever" as a prelude to the ceremony and rendered "The Wedding Prayer" as the benediction. The bride wora a gown of white organza and reembroidered French Alencon lace. The empire bodice featured a lace scalloped sweetheart neckline and long sheer fitted sleeves of alencon lace.
