Currently he is chairman of the house Agricultural Committee and chairman of the Southern Legislative Conference. He told the group that since his committee chairmanship, he has never lost a bill which came thorugh the committee with a good report. Good weather brings good fishing The good weather that we've had has done wonders (or the fishing. Locally, the white perch have been taken in good numbers and have been taken all along the river, even up past the railroad bridge. Bream fishermen have been doing well with some really large catches being made. There are an awful lot of people from outside the area coming in here and really taking a lot of fish. The Virginia Bass Masters were here this past weekend, and although there were some good fish taken, the wind kept a lot of the people in close. fishing behind one another. Joe Harvey Ferrell caught several nice bass, one weighing in at five pounds, and some white perch. This past weekend the herring were really here and the dippers were out in force filling up tubs, buckets or anything else that would hold them Down at the beach, the bluefish are still around the beaches and are being very cooperative with most si! that can find them. There have been several big drum taken in the thirty to fourty pound class and the drum fishing as a whole is really picking up. There was one drum taken that weighed in a fifty four pounds from down at the point. r Perquimans Outdoors By Joe Lothian K Perquimans County Tax Listings Continued from page 8 Sloboda, Marion F., SH 15-L 16.71 ?
