BURBAGE VANCEBORO - Harold Roscoe Burbage, 74, died Thursday, August IS. Funeral services were held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. in the Juniper Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. Burial was in Cedar Grove Cemetery in New Bern. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Garrison Burbage; a daughter, Mrs. Paula Raye McDowell of Suf folk, Va.; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Effie Morris of Rt. 2, Vanceboro and Mrs. Agnes Jackson of New Bern. Other survivors include three stepsons, Albert Lamm of Chocowinity, William Lamm of Rt. 2, Vacneboro and Jimmy Lamm of New Bern; two brothers, Jack Burbage of Hertford and Walter Burbage of Tulsa, Okla.; two sisters, Mrs. Barney Cuthrell of Belhaven and Mrs. Martha Paul of Bath. Still others include two stepsisters, Mrs. Sadie Capps of Georgia and Mrs. Anna Morris of New Jersey; one granddaughter; eight stepgrandchildren and three step great-grandchildren. Information was provided by Swindell Funeral Home. SUTTON EDENTON ? Charrles Hampton Sutton, 62, of Route 2, died Sunday in Chowan Hospital. He was a native of Perquimans County and the husband of Roaetta Swain Sutton. He was a self-employed brick maaon and was an Army veteran of World War n. He was a Baptist. Other survivors include two sons, John Wesley Sutton of Augsta, Ga.. and William Howard Sutton of Edenton; a daughter, Linda Rae Sutton of the home; a stepdaughter, Dorothy Lodge of Edenton; a sister, Pauline Brown of Baltimore; five stepgrandchildren; and four step great-grandchildren. The funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Williford-Barham Funeral Home. Burial followed in Beaver Hill Cemetery. BUNCH EDENTON - Albert Bunch, 73, a native of Chowawn County, died Thursday, August 18, in his home. He had retired as a farmer and commercial fisherman. He was a member of Rocky Hock Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Edith Peele Bunch; a son, Emmett Earl Bunch of Chesapeake, Va.; two sisters, Pansy Asbell of Suffolk, Va., and Maybelle Cooke of Whitakers; three brothers, Henry Bunch and Clarence Bunch, both of Edenton, and Paul Bunch of Tyner; and two grandchildren. The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Williford-Barham Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Donald Wagner. Burial followed in Beaver Hill Cemetery. OVERTON COLUMBIA ? Nancy Angela Overton, 28, a native of Chowan County, died Wednesday, August 17, in her home. She was the manager of Alligator River Service Center. She was a member of Yeopim Baptist Church. Survivor* include her parents, Mary Pascoe White Overton and Lloyd Edward Overton Jr. of Eden ton; two aiaters, Connie BurreU of Aurora. Colo., and Debbie Milligan of Albuquerque, N. M; and a brother, Craig Overton of Edenton. Other aurvivora include her maternal grandmother, Mrs. Jake White of Hertford; and her paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd E. Overton Sr. of Edenton. Graveside services were con ducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Overton Family Farm, Route 2, Edenton, by the Revs. Stanley Nixon and Thomas Biggs. Williford Barham Funeral Home, Edenton, was in charge. BERRYMAN HOBBSVILLE - Dewey H. Berryman, 83, a native of Chowan County, died Wednesday, August 17, in a hospital. He had retired as an Electrolux dealer after 35 years. He was a member of Warwick Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Tempie Perry Berryman; a daughter, Audrey Nixon of Edenton; a son, Dewey H. Berryman Jr. of Hobb sville; a sister, Minnie Spivey of Hertford; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Friday in Warwick Baptist Church by the Revs. Joe Willis and Donald Wagner. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
