Farm Bureau to meet
The Perquimans County Farm Bureau will have their annual meeting Mon
day, October 17, at the Albemarle Commission Building on Church Street in
Hertford beginning at 8 p.m.
Marshall Grant, chairman of the state ASCS, will be the speaker. All
members are encouraged to attend.
Orphanage choir to perform
The Oxford Orphanage Choir will be performing at the Perquimans County
High School on Saturday, October 15, at 7:30 p.m. Donations are requested in
the amount of $3.00 per adult and $1.50 for children under 12.
Parent Advisory meeting
there will be a Parent Advisory Council Meeting at Perquimans Central
School on Thursday, October 20, from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Mrs. Juanita Bailey, Assoc. Home Economics Extension Agent, 4H, will
demonstrate how parents can help students to improve reading skills.
Jhis should be very beneficial to those parents whose children need to im
prove their reading skills.

years. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps
veteran of World War II.
He was a member of Palm Masonic
Lodge No. S27 A.F.ItA.M. of West
Plam Beach, a 32 degree member of
KCCH Scottish Rite Body of Lake
Worth, Fla., a charter member of
Amara Temple of the Shrine of Palm
Beach Gardens. Fla., a member of
the Kiwanis club, a former member
of the Rotary Club and past president
of West Palm 1 Beach Chamber o I
He was a member ot First United
Methodist Church in West Palm
Beach. On July 22, 18M, he married
Mary Lena Beck, who died July 22.
Surviving are three daughters.
