COMMUNITY ? Four generations recently celebrated Thanksgiving in Chesapeake, Va. at the home of Mrs. Vyola Wood. Shrimp dish offers a change after holiday fare During the days after Christmas, our family looks forward to a change of taste from the poultry and ham. This Shrimp Stroganoff is the perfect dish and easy for the cook after many hours of holiday preparation. Add a zesty tomato aspic and hot rolls for a delicious meal. Cook's t'.ornvr i? K<lmi fid\<'H?iii Oven Baked Shrimp Stroganoff 8 oz. medium egg noodles 8 oz. sour cream 1 can of mushroom soup 1 tsp. dillweed V* cup sliced green onion V* cup sliced ripe'olives ' % cup sliced mushrooms V* cups dried parsley flakes 1V4 cups shredded Cheddar cheese, divided 1 lb. frozen shrimp, thawed and drained Cook noodles, drain and set aside. Combine sour cream, soup and dillweed. Add onions, olives, one-half cup cheese, mushrooms and parsley. Add shrimp. Stir well and then fold in noodles. Spoon mixture into a lightly greased shallow two-quart casserole. Cover and bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Uncover and sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake five minutes or until cheese melts. Yield: six servings. Tomato Aspic 4 envelopes unflavored gelatin 3% cups toato juice, divided V* cup water 1 tsp. celery salt 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 1V4 tsp. tobasco Soften gelatjp in three quarters of a cup of tomato juice and one-quarter of a cup of water. Let stand five minutes. Combine three cups tomato juice, celery salt, Worcestershire and hot sauce in a sauce pan and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and add gelatin mixture, stirring until gelatin dissolves. Pour into an oiled four and one half cup ring mold and chill until firm. Unmold on a lettuce lined serving plate. .Yield: 8 servings. Those on the tour were Marie Bryant, Reba Hurdle, Elsie Felton, Nancy Felton, Emma Blanchard, Vasthi Lilly, Mary James, Malinda Riddick, Marjorie Blanchard, Margaret Felton, Richard Harrell, Alberta Eason, Clarence Felton, Manoiia Parker, Marion B. Frierson and Mary Billups. Others on the trip were Ernestine Felton, Hattie Williamston, Mattie Blackman, Mildred Spruill, Willie Thatch, Frances Williamston, Myrtle Davis, Naomie C. Lomas, Willie Johnikins, Margaret Copeland, Essie Mae Johnikins, Hannah Mitchell, McCarthy Mitchell and the Rev. Charles Duling. Also on the trip were Agnes Duling, Harriett Rouse. Rosa Gibbs, Hester Reid, Geraldine B. Lowe, Doris Toier, Alice Combs, Mary Parker, Warner Madre, Annie Woff and Minnie B. Taylor. The tour was arranged by Mrs. Pattie White.
