Sanders of Elizabeth City took second place, while Brian Keaveny of Chesapeake finished in the third position. Bubba Adams, sportsman driver of the NASCAR Circuit came in fourth and Sid Car mines of Poquoson took fifth po " sition. In the economy street division it was the seventh win for Grover Sanders of South Mills. Sanders led wire to wire with John Staton of Chesapeake in second and Virgil Frazier of Elizabeth City finishing third. Jim Burbage of Bath came in fourth, while Greg Gregory of Shiloh took the fifth position. Sanders is in second place in the points standing. The Super Street Division ran a twin 20 night. The winners of the first event were inverted to start in the rear it the ield in the seoncd 20-lap event for this division this week. In the first event, Earl Freeland took the 1 lead on lap nine from the pole ??sitter Johnny Conner of Buxton. ? ;; Freeland is from Hampton, -Va. Tommy Cherry of South ?"Mills, came in second. Conner finished in the third position. It -"was the fourth win of the sea i ? son for Freeland who is cur rently the points leader. Fin ishing in fourth and fifth place were Jimmy McKinney of Eliza beth City and Rick Johnson of Chesapeake, respectively. The second 20- lap event for the Super Street saw Ed Par-, sian of Portsmouth, Va. take his seond win of the year. Ken Winslow of South Mills was in second place, Shawn Balluzzo of Norfolk was in third place and Tommy Cherry of South Mills and Danny Carrow of Suffolk were in fourth and fifth posi tions respectively. In the Mighty Mini Division they ran a 15-lap event with Bobby Cahoon of Chesapeake taking his third win of the year. Cahoon led 13 of the IS laps with points leader A1 Carey running a tight second. Carey spun on lap 12, while Chuck Pritchard of Elizabeth City took second position and a new driver and car from Norfolk. Ernest Sykes of Chesapeake and Rick Lake of Portsmouth finished fourth and fifth respec tively while A1 Carey took the sixth place spot. Friday, August 16 will be Pi onerr Stereo night with a regu lar program of racking exicte ment along with a Powder Puff Event. Gates open at 4:00. Time trials at 7:00 and racing at 8:00.
