Hertford teams defeat Edenton in soccer me Heraora express soccer team traveled to Edenton Thurs day, October 24 and beat the Strikers 1-0. Steve Flippen scored the only goal. Later that same night, Orange Crush from Hertford beat Edenton Thunder in a close game of 3-2. Scott Chappell scored one goal with Rich Bizzell scoring the other two goals for Orange Crush. On Saturday the Hertford teams again won against Eden ton. The Hertford Devils beat the Edenton Netters 3-0. Matt Winslow scored two goals and Charlie Simpson scored one to shut out the Netters. In the second game Hertford Royals played a tough game with a shortage of players but came through with a 1-0 victory over Edenton Lightning. Brian Winslow scored the winning goal on a direct kick. Tournament games for the Youth League begin Saturday, wovemDer 9 at 10 a.m. at the soc cer field behind the Central El ementary School in Winfall. ? Spectators are encouraged to come watch.
