"Bob" Spivey, the patriarch of
the group, celebrate his birth
day. About 75 relatives enjoyed
the celebration.

Miss Sherry Lynn Hughes and
Eric Vann Tiiley were married
June 1st at 3:00 p.m. in Hmford
Baptist Church by the Rev. Ray
mond C. Needham. The music
was presented by Mrs. Kay Whit
ley, organist and Mrs. Marsha
Evans, soloist.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Charlie L. Hughes
of Route 2, Hertford. The bride
groom is the son of Mr. William
L. (Buddy) Tiiley of Hertford
and Mrs. Betty S. Bateman of
Edenton.
The bride was given in mar
riage by her father, Mr. Charlie
L. Hughes of Rt. 2, Hertford.
She wore a dress made of da
cron and organza trimmed in silk
venise motiff lace and beaded
chantilly lace on the bodice. The
skirt was trimmed in chantilly
lace with ruffles. The gown, ac
cented by it's high neck collar
and elbow length sleeves, flowed
into a semi-cathedral train.
The Matron of Honor was
Tammy Morgan of Elizabeth
City, cousin of the bride.
The bridesmaids were Beverly
Taylor of Hertford, Denise Banks
of Hertford and Patti White of
Hertford.
The best man was Mr. William
L. (Buddy) Tilley, father of the

The Winfall Town Council will hold a public
hearing June 30,1986 in the town hall at 7:00
P.M. on the proposed 1986-87 Budget and
proposed use of Federal Revenue Sharing
Funds for FY 86-87.
The proposed budget is posted in the Town
office for public inspection. Estimated Reve
nue Sharing funds to be considered for use
are $7100.00.

The Farmers Home Administration (FmHA) County Committee election this year will be
held on June 30, 1906. The ballot below must be filled out, detached and mailed and
received or returned in person to the Chowan-Perquimans FmHA office, Albemarle Com
mission Building, Church Street, Hertford, North Carolina, not later than June 30, 1986. If
you do not vote in person you should mail your ballot inside a blank envelope marked
ballot to ensure a secret ballot. This blank envelope should be placed inside the envelope
you use to mail your ballot. Your name and address must be legible on the outer enve
lope. Failure to provide this information will render your ballot invalid. Ballots and enve
lopes may also be obtained from your local FmHA office.
