Sponsored by the Perquimans County Chamber of Commerce, the festival now in its fifth year, is desig nated to promote Perquimans County and its people. Friday, Colonial Day featured an Old Fashion Sidewalk Sale sponsored by lo cal merchants, the crown ing of Miss Indian Summer Festival. Musical entertainment was provided through various artists and the Perquimans High School Marching Band. The two day event draws people into the community for a wide variety of events. The fes tival takes on two themes each year. Friday is Colonial Day, and takes place in downtown Hertford and Saturday is Pow Wow Day at Missing Mill Park.
