Joe Louis Godfrey of Woodville. The Rev. Godfrey, a blind minister demonstrated how to read and write Braille. The students were really im pressed as they saw the alphabets and their names being written. The Rev. Godfrey talked about his life as a "blind man." In many ways, he feels as though he can see better than a "sighted person." The stu dents were given a chance to ask questions about blindness. For exam ple, "how do you tell time?" and how do yount count money?" Students really enjoyed the Rev. Godfrey's visit and would like for him to visit again. The halls of Perquimans Union are rapidly taking on a new look. With the addition of Tony Kee's smiling face and ever-present paint brush, the walls are noticeably different each day. He is working now in the main hall area. Union is gearing up for the addition of the fifth and sixth grade classes next year as it becomes the middle school for the county.
