On Friday food booths will be set up in downtown Hertford offering everything from barbeque to home made pastries. The booths will be sponsored by local county restau rants, and will remain open through out the lunch hour for festival goers who want to stop and grab a quick bite, or just take a break from shop ping. On Friday evening the Perqui mans County Chamber of Com merce will sponsor a fried chicken dinner with all the fixins. The dinner will begin at 5:00 p.m., and no tick ets will be sold. Chicken plates will be available near the Blanchard Building on a first come- first serve basis only. The chamber will con tinue serving plates until approxi mately 7:00 p.m.. On Saturday, food booths will be set up along the sides of Missing Mill Park in Hertford. The booths will be sponsored not only by local restau rants but also by local churches and clubs trying to raise money. The booths will feature everything from baked goods to candy, and will be open all day long. Saturday evening festival visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy a plate of barbeque fixed with all the trimmings, and sponsored by the Perquimans County Chamber of Commerce. The plates will run $4.00 each. No tickets will be sold for the pig pickin. Dinner will be served on a first come - first serve basis. Make plans now and bring a big - appetite to this year's Indian Sum- ? mer Festival.
