1961 through the efforts of ECSU's
Chancellor Dr. Jimmy R. Jenkins
by bringing faculty, staff and ad
ministrators together to exhibit
their own talents to raise schol
arship money. Designed as a schol
arship program, the major goals of
Scholarcaae are to provide full
grants for four years of continuous
study towards a degree offered at
Elizabeth State University and to
encourage ECSU recruitment of
high school students who possess
outstanding academic and lead
ership abilities and skills.
