Hospice training to start PPCC Hospice Volunteer Training will begin on Tuesday, March 16 and continue on March 18. 23, 25. and 30 from 7-10 p.m. each night. The training will be held at the Pasquotank County Health De partment in Elizabeth City on the comer of Cedar and Harney streets. Hospice training is provided free to the public. PPCC Hospice is a service of the PPCC District Health Depart ment and a trained group of community volunteers. Hospice strives to meet the physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs of the family and patient facing a terminal illness. The aim is to control the patient’s pain as much as possible, make him/her comfortable and support the family.
