Language arts teachers screened the essays and sub mitted the best three from their respective classes far Judflng. Brandy HoDoweQ was overall winner for the sixth grade and received a $100 savings bond. Sectional winners in the sixth grade were Shartita Balky. Trey Lewis. Zacharlah Brown ana Natalie Long. Each student re ceived a $50 saving bond. Matthew Leicester earned the top prize In the seventh grade. Kregan Winslow was the sec tional winner . In the eighth made. Christy Davenport earned top honor. Mattie Hurdle. Brad Owens and Kenneth Nordstrom earned sec tional designations. All students who participated received certificates of recogni tion and vocational education memorabilia packets.
