The Farmers Home Administration (FmHA) is accepting nomi
nations for County Committee elections for Chowan/Perquimans
area. This notice is issued to inform eligibly voters of the right to
nominate candidates by petition. Copies of the petition and instruc
tions on its completion can be obtained from your local FmHA of
fice.
Persons nominated should have an interest in a farm as an
owner, tenant or sharecropper within the county or area in which
activities of the county or area committee are carried out. They
must be citizens of the United States or aliens lawfully admitted to
the United State for permanent residence, and be well qualified for
committee work. Spouses of those persons who meet the eligibility
criteria are also eligible for nomination for election to the county
committee. Nominations must be received in the Hertford, FmHA
office, located in the Albemarle Commission Building, 512 South
Church Street, no later than April 19, 1993. FmHA committee elec
tions are open to ail eligible voters without regard to race, color,
