The fall season got underway on Sept 9 when Shadetree edged by Jimmy’s, 5-4. Kent White was 2-for-3 for the winners. Ricky Stallings was 2-for-3 with a triple and wade Stanton, 2-for-3, for Jimmy’s. The Pirates took Owens’ 22 17 in a slugfeat. Brian Whitfield led the Pirates offensively, going 4-for-5 at the plate. Arthur Davis was 3-for-4 and Willie Shannon house, 2-for-4. Martin Owens led the losers with a perfect night at bat, going 4-for-4 with a double and a triple. Glenn Lamb was 3 for-4 ana Richard Graham. 2-for 4 with two doubles, Ned’s got a forfeit from the Bandits, who have dropped out of the league. On Sept. 14, Jimmy's trounced on the Pirates. 14-4. “ Staley Colson and Jeny Ward both batted 1000 for Jimmy's. t going 3- for-3.
