from the U. S. Department of Ed

The funds from this project
will be used for exceptional stu
dents age 14 through the time
when they exit school, and will
address employment of a tran
sition coordinator; instructional
programs as they relate to em
ployment: Involvement of com

come a regional training, center,
attainting other local education

The 5K/10K event is being conducted locally by the Eastern
North Carolina Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association.
Proceeds from the Memory Walk support local services for more
dun 110,000 Alzheimer's patients, caregivers and families living in
Eastern North Carolina.

The Perquimans chapter of the American Association of Retired
Persons will meet on Monday, Sept 27 at the Perquimans County

The Senior Center will sponsor a trip to the State Fair on Tues
day. Oct 19. We will depart the center at 6 a.m.. eat breakfast in
Wullamston and then travel on to the fair grounds. We will leave the
fair around 4 p.m. and stop at Parker’s in Wilson for dinner. The
cost per person is $14 and Oct. 5 is the deadline to pay and sign up.
