This year’s edition will kick off with a Thursday evening Miss Indian Summer Festival pageant at Perquimans High School. The winner will preside over the two day gala. Downtown will take on the look of an old-fashioned street 2tatr Friday, as merchants hawk "their wares at sidewalk sales. Art ■and antique displays, a story •time for children. Unde Jessie ’the Clown, the Perquimans County High School band, and local vocalists will provide hours of fun for festival- goers. Add In -the grilled delights from the side walk cafe, and Friday should tally up to a great day. New to this year’s festival will be the merchants auction. Don’t bring money. You'll need turtle bucks to bid at this auction. Saturday begins bright and early with a fun run and walk at 8 a.m. Arts, crafts, food, dis plays. entertainment, games and just plain fun dot the schedule for the day. The 7 p.m. street dance will feature the hot sounds of Au gust Whatever your tastes, it shouldn't be hard to find some thing to please at this year’s Per quimans County Indian Summer Festival, organized and promoted by the Perquimans County Chamber of Commerce.
