Carolyn Louise Banks, 33, of Rt. 5, Box 104, Hertford, was arrested on June 10 and charged with assault on a gov ernment official and disorder ly conduct. Bond was set at a total of $400 unsecured. Barry Lorenzo Ford, 39, of 321 Market St., Hertford, was cited on June 10 for revoked operators license. Bond was set at $200 unsecured. Joy Shawnta Spruill, 17, of 215 S. Edenton Road St., Hertford, was cited on June 11 for driving with revoked oper ators license. Paul Jordan Elliott, 31, of 204 Church St., Hertford, was cited on June 12 for no opera tors license. Rodney Earl Welch, 26, of Lot 5 Meads Mobile Home Park, Hertford, was arrested on June 12 and charged with assault on a female (probation violation). Bond was set at $1,000 secured. Fain, 23, of Rt. 1, Box 989C, Hertford, was served a criminal summons on June 16 for earnings fraud. Henry Clay Skinner, 47, of 318 King St., Hertford, was arrested on June 17 and charged with assault on a female. Bond was set at $200 unsecmred. Kimberly Ann Scott, 19, of 124M Hemlock St., Hertford, was cited on June 17 for under age possession of spiritious liquor. Paul Jordan Elliott, 31, of 204 Church St., Hertford, was cited on June 17 for driving while impaired, reckless dri ving, open container spiritious liquor. Bond was set at $200 secured. Ricky Lee Spruill, 36, of 319 Stokes Dr., Hertford, was arrested on June 17 and charged with assault with a deadly weapon. Bond was set at $200 unsecvu-ed. Recycle for Special Olympics A new program called “Recycle for Gold” sets out to recycle junk cars as a fund-raiser for the North Carolina Special Olympics. Auto salvagers will collect and recycle junked vehi cles in exchange for a tax deduction. Citizens should call 1-800- 590-1600 and schedule a pick up with the salvage operator. Vehicles will be accepted in any condition and resold, taken to a parts auction, or dismantled. Regardless of condition, N.C. Special Olympics will receive $25 per car or half of the funds generated.
