Nutrition site menus
Menu for the Perquimans County Nutrition Site for the
Elderly for July 24-28 is as follows:
Monday - Meatloaf w/gravy, green beans, rice, roll, fresh
orange, milk.
Tuesday - Veal patty w/tomato sauce, peas, scalloped potatoes,
bread, applesauce, milk.'
Wednesday - Baked chicken, squash butter beans, roll jello,
milk.
Thursday - Vegetable beef soup, pimento cheese sandwich, juice,
bread, cake, milk.
Friday - Turkey w/gravy, succotash, sweet potato patties, roll,
melon balls, milk.
Health clinics
The clinic schedule for the Perquimans Health Department
from July 24-28 is as follows:
July - 25 - Prenatal clinic in the morning.
July 26 - Eye clinic PRN
July 27 - Adult health clinic in the morning.
July 28 - Teen clinic wiU be held in the morning, followed with
general health clinic and piUs/problems, in the afternoon.
Senior Center
The Perquimans County Senior Center has a trip planned to
go to the Old Dominion Opry in Williamsburg, Va, on Friday,
Sept. 15. We will depart the Center at 3:30 p.m. and stop for din
ner at the Chesapeake Square Mall. Then on to the Opry for the
program at 8 p.m. Return home about 12:30 a.m. Cost per person
is $28, which includes the Opry and your transportation.
Deadline to sign up and pay is August 11. For more information

Volunteers needed
Volunteers are needed for the Perquimans Nutrition Site’s
home-delivered program. Call 426-8309 for information.
Pettigrew Regional Library
The Pettigrew Regional Library Board will meet on Monday,
July 24 at 7:30 p.m. at the Washington County Library in
Plymouth.
Democratic Party
The Perquimans County Democratic Party will meet on
Tuesday, July 25 at 7:30 p.m. in the courtroom. Contact Lillian A

AARP
The Perquimans Chapter of the American Association of
Retired Persons will meet July 31 at the Perquimans County
Senior Center in Hertford.
'The Board Meeting will be held at 1:30 p.m. followed by the
regular meeting at 2 p.m.
There will be a program on postal services by the Hertford
postmistress.
Athletic Boosters
The Perquimans County Athletic Boosters will meet Monday,
July 24 at 7:30 p.m. at Perquimans County High School.

UTILITY COLLECTOR;
Responsibilities include processing utility accounts, collecting
utility payments and processing delinquent accounts. Provide
customer service in the areas of processing new customers,
utility problems, and high bill complaints, payroll, employee
benefits, and accounts payable. Good customer service skills
required.
Position is full time with full benefits. Salary dependent on

Court Jurisdiction: Advanced
reviewed criminal law and

and seizure, and explored the
current status of the law and
emerging trends. This two-
week course provided the
opportunity for participants to
increase problem-solving abili
ties by comparing methods
and court procedures used in
similar jurisdictions through
out the United States.
