Alzheimers’ Support
The Perquimans Alzheimers’ Support Group will meet
at Brian Center Nursing Home at 2 p.m. on June 3.

The Perquimans County Republican Executive

Headstart applications
Perquimans County Headstart is accepting applica
tions for the 2003-04 school year. Children must reside
in Perquimans County and be 3 or 4 on or before Oct. 16.

Recreation classes
Youth karate is held at the Recreation Department
on Wednesday nights at 7 p.m. The cost is $20 per
month. Aerobics is held at the department on Monday,
Tuesday, and Thursday nights at 6. The cost is $2.50 per
night.
Home-delivered meals program
The Home-Delivered Meals Program needs volun
teers to deliver a lunch meal to seniors in your commu
nity. You can sign-up for one day a month and it only
takes one hour of your time. Please contact:

NNC Black Chamber of Commerce
The Northeastern N.C. Black Chamber of Commerce
will hold a retreat. for all Board of Directors on
Saturday, June 7, from 10 a.m. - noon. The retreat wiU. be

Blood drives
There will be a Red Cross bloodmobile at Albemarle
Hospital in its Education Rooms 2 and 3 on Friday, May

Free skin cancer screening
Susan LoveUe, M.D. will provide a free skin cancer
screening in Albemarle Hospital’s Education Center,
Room 1 Thursday, May 29 from 3 - 6 p.m. Pre-registra

Class of 1988 Reunion
The PCHS class of 1988 will hold its 15-year reunion
on June 27 at the American Legion Building in
Hertford. Saturday, June 28 is Family Day at WinfaU
park. Cost is $50 per couple. Contact Tina Caddy

Retirement reception
There will be a retirement reception in honor of
Caroline Bright, Louise Lightfoot, Alice Lamb, Louise
Parker, Linda Lassiter and David Ziemba on Thursday,

Wednesday - Country ham slice, navy bean soup,
orange/pineapple juice, glazed carrots, biscuit, cookies.
Thursday - Southern fried chicken, green beans, fruit
cocktail, potatoes w/parsley & butter, roU, cake. Friday
- Spaghetti w/meat sauce, tossed salad, orange juice,
