Community Celebrations New arrival Carissa Lynn Baker Charles and Lynette Baker of Hertford announce the birth of their daughter, Carissa Lynn, on April 1 at 10:45 a.m. at Albemarle Hospital. She weighed 7 pounds 11 ounces and was 20 inches long. She joins her brother, Carlton. The maternal grandpar ents are Grover and Elaine HolloweU of Winfall. May brings spring weekend to county Springtime in Perquimans will again be celebrated May 20-22 with a number of activities high lighting the history and continuing gracious south ern hospitality in the Land of Beautiful Women. The weekend will kick off on Friday with Pig Out on the Green, offering pork barbecue plates cooked on the historic courthouse lawn for both lunch and supper.
