Where Are Tfc2 Sanitary Officers? The property known as the Aus tin House recently bought by Mr. T. l Wakefield, has been in a con dition that would shame a common hog pen, from a sanitary point of view. The little back yard about 15 by 40 feet square has had in it a privy and chicken coops and it has been the damping ground of refuse of various kinds until the whole place is reeking with filthy stagnant water and disease breed ing odros. The back rooms of the house were in very little better condition. These deposits have been accu mulating here for months and the officials, whose duty it is to look after things of this kind have simp ly neglected to perform that im portant duty. Mr. -Wakefield has had a force of hands at work clean ing up the premises and it wjll re quire a great deal of work to make the place safe for habitation. It is very proltahle that there are other places altout the town in equally as Itad condition and if this' important matter is not attended to more carefully, our tow n will certainly le visited by a scourge of sickness at no distant day.
