I On Saturday afternoon, Octo

Club held a special meeting at
the home of Mrs. J. L. James,
With the club President, Peggy
Brinegar, presiding, the meeting
opened with the singing of the
Junior Hymn, repeating the
Pledge and the singing of the
Junior Collect. Peggy Brinegar
welcomed the guests, after which
Margaret Skinner, Club Coun

Statesville, State Junior Counsel
or of the North Carolina Federa

in the day attended the Southern

Brady stressed the importance of
all clubs striving to attain the
National Honor Roll, and have
North Carolina lead the Nation
again this year as last year for
having the highest number of
National Honor Roll Clubs. To
the Junior Club in each District
of the State making the highest
number of points by rating sheets,
which means the club doing the
most worthwhile work, an award
will be given this year. The value
of subscribing to the National
Junior Magazine was also
stressed for "a good member is

are over one hundred Junior
Clubs in North Carolina, all do
