Absolutely painless. Nodangerous cutting, no ugly pads or plasters. In days, Freezone Aries “The Ram” (Mar ,21-Apr 20) What a time Waster you are, Luv. Unless you snap into it, months will have flown and you still won’t have the “show on the road.” Your Libran friend is waiting in the wings and willing to lend a hand. Taurus “The Bull” (Apr 21-May 21) Nothing worth having is gained without effort, and one needs to have a vital spirit behind one’s work so now is the time to go in quest of experience that will stand you in good stead 'later on. Don’t be content with second best. Gemini “The Twins” (May 22-June 21) Do learn to hold your fire and think before you speak. No temper tantrums, no displays of temperament, these will only aUenate friends. Be especially careful in your dealings with another Gemini. The first of the month will bring a change in your life style. Cancer “The Crab” (June 22-July 23) Sometimes it seems to you that the future holds nothing but work and worry, right? But, take heart, very soon things will take an up-turn. By the 15 th of the next month most of your worries will have vanished. A good-news letter is coming. Leo “The lion” (July 24-Aug 23) Can’t you change your way of thinking so that you will be more in tune with those around you? You keep yourself and everyone else in hot water with your shenanig3ns, right? You must try to conform, Luv, otherwise I’m afraid you will lose the game. Virgo “The Virgin” (Aug 24-Sept 23) We must leave what has been behind us, and look ahead and see what we can accomplish now. We can’t get rid of the past, the problems, the innuendo, but we don’t have to dwell on them, do we? Think about that, dear Virgo. Libra “The Balance (Sept 24-Oct 23) It’s all settled, isn’t it? There is no question that you will get the one you have chosen, but some troubles and complications will slow down plans considerably. Have patience. It will all work out. Scorpio “The Scorpion” (Oct 24-Nov 22) You must gain back some of your old discipline and stop allowing others to be so‘self-indulgent, stand up to those who would brow-beat you. Insist on being in command of your own projects. Don’t be a door-mat. Sagittarius “The Archer” (Nov 23-Dec 21) I would suggest that you make your plans more concrete and stick to them, OK? It is very possible that some, if not most, members of your clan go around not knowing exactly what to expect. You blow from hot to icy, Luv. Capricorn “The Goat” (Dec 22-Jan 20) An inner voice keeps telling you that there is no one you can depend on but yourself. You’re right. You cannot count on anyone to make you more important than you are. You must find another avenue to develop the idea that is uppermost in your mind. Aquarius “Water Bearer” (Jan 21-Feb 19) A tinge of regret not quite hidden by your present success has left a far-away edge to your voice. Of course, this situation may not be as much fun or excitement, but it’s legal, I hear. Pisces “The Fishes” (Feb 20-Mar 20) Don’t you think it is about time you gave up on all those fair-weather friends, or haven’t you seen the light yet? You will still have to cope with the facts after they have “hit the road” so to speak. And they will soon, Amigo. IF TODAY IS YOUR BIRTHDAY you are endowed with a fine mind, a warm personahty and a willingness to work hard to reach your goals. At times, you are conservative and conventional and seem to lack the confidence necessary to accomplish the goals set for yourself. Try to bolster your optimism at such times and reaUze that there is no limit to your abilities as you have been gifted with great strength of mind. Try to curb any inclinations to be a procrastinator. . .TODAY is the day to get started. Also, try to curb any tendency toward undue suspicion of associates. All the fine things you would do can only be accomplished with a bright and optimistic approach. Fields in which you would make your greatest success: Politics, statemanship, diplomacy, music or science. Men’s wear is one of the most im portant facets of the Montreal export fashion market. There are two ap proaches to men’s fashion. One is the great Canadian outdoors look of leath er and suede — the other is the so phisticated city look of flannel and ga bardine. For the younger market there are coordinates of corduroys, tattersalls ... and tweeds in suits with cutaway jackets and wide tuxedo lapels team ed up with dark printed shirts. Coordination is the key to the Mon treal men’s wear scene. Pants . .. jackets . . . coats . . . shirts and other acessories are obviously meant for each other. Although these are the general fashion trends individually each de signer has his own philosophy or atti tude. Designer Michel Robichaud, who served his apprenticeship with Nina Kicci and Guy Laroche m Paris, be lieves in two silhouettes — one very fitted, the other more supple. "iTiese dominant silhouettes are repeated in suits, coats and dresses, and refined elegance keynotes his collection for Auckie Sanft. John Warden, who studied at the Parson’s School of Design in New York, demonstrates anew his belief in coordination. Everything fits together — colors .. . fabrics . . . precise clas sic design. His coordinated look ap pears in suits, coats, capes, dresses and sweater dresses — for Beverini. Margaret Godfrey and Nicola Pelly, born and educated in England — see the tailored suit leading the autumn ’73 fashion parade. The pantsuit will be on the scene but slightly over shadowed by long, wrap-jackets worn with swinging pleated skirts stopping above the knee. Classic fabrics em phasize the classic look they .have created for Boutique Bagatelle. Pierre Desmarais has an, eye for detail which is apparent in his fall collection for Coatree/Voyageur. His coats feature a looser silhouette .. . The wrap look is very much in evi dence and is accentuated with raglan and dolman sleeves and wide shirt collars that have replaced the lap- elled, V-neck style of past seasons. Fabrics and colors have a distinct look of quality and luxury. Francine Vandelac, a native of Montreal, uses country wools to achieve a look of fashion individ uality. In her knitwear collection for Francine Vandelac Tricots textures run the gamut from chenille to mo hair, angora, blends of crepe and acr ylic, silk and synthetic wools. She favors short skirts topped with blou- son or cardigan vests fo^ay and the long, slinky look for evenmg. John Warden showed his first col lection of homewear and loungewear for Molyclaire. The theme was one of ultra-femininity. The silhouette soft and fresh with pleats of all kinds. White is the dominant color — ani ruffles, frills and flounces are every- where.
